How does it work?

All filtering activities take place on our main-frame servers before messages are delivered into your mailbox(es).

VIRUS FILTERING: Every email message sent to your address is automatically scanned by our sophisticated software, using an international virus database which is updated daily with the latest virus information. If a virus or worm is detected the infected message is blocked and deleted, and a notification email sent to you. The process is seamless and invisible, and of course the confidentiality of your emails if fully protected and safe-guarded.

SPAM FILTERING: Incoming messages are digitally scanned (using a complex set of rules and algorithms) to detect if the content is unsolicited or bulk mail. Any emails that are identified as SPAM are flagged with the word SPAM in the header, then transmitted to your mailbox in the usual manner. You can then apply your own individual rules in Outlook or Outlook Express (ask us for details) as to how you deal with these messages, and the level of filtration can be set on a per-user basis so that legitimate messages are not flagged in error. The server does not delete any mail - it simply allows you to deal with it efficiently.
